Ouachita reports 97% career outcomes rate for graduates in the midst of the pandemic

Ouachita reports highest total spring enrollment in 25 years
February 09, 2021Ouachita Baptist University has reported a total spring 2021 enrollment of 1,619, a 3% increase since spring 2020 and the highest spring headcount for the university in 25 years. The increase reflects strong retention of traditional undergraduate students and new programs for non-traditional students.

Ouachita honors 309 graduates during 133rd commencement

The ceremony, which was rescheduled from its original date in May due to COVID-19, was held outdoors at Cliff Harris Stadium on Ouachita’s campus.

Ouachita faculty, staff honored for combined 780 years of service

Ouachita crowns Holly Shipp as 2020 Homecoming Queen
November 10, 2020Holly Shipp, a senior Christian studies/Biblical studies, Christian missions and Christian ministries triple major from Arlington, Texas, was crowned Ouachita Baptist University’s 2020 Homecoming Queen on Thursday morning in Evans Student Center surrounded by her peers. Shipp represented the Pruet Sisterhood. She is a member of Tri Chi women’s social club and involved in Campus Ministries.
Hamilton awarded $297,000 Arkansas IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence grant
November 10, 2020Ouachita Baptist University’s Dr. Sharon Hamilton, assistant professor of chemistry, has been awarded $297,431 in funding over the next two and a half years by the Arkansas IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) to support her research of incorporating proteins into novel modern wound dressings.
