Mission Statement

The mission of the Ouachita Baptist Department of Physics & Engineering is to help prepare the next generation of professionals in the areas of science, engineering, pre-health, and education. This is accomplished by providing quality and rigorous instruction that promotes critical thinking, data collection and analysis, and research skills all within a nurturing Christ-centered, liberal arts environment. The department continually strives to prepare all students to be life-long learners and problem solvers so that they may become not only well-rounded, educated citizens, but also be equipped for every good work. This is accomplished by instilling within students the value and importance of knowledge, communication, leadership and service.
