Message from the chair: Dr. terry dewitt
Learning in higher education is a combination of Evidenced Based (research and outcomes)
and Experiential Education. You'll get both of these here. Our field of study requires
active engagement while you learn and develop.
God has given us an opportunity to learn along with our peers. These peers, perhaps,
will be your lifelong friends. He has proved the facility, the faculty, and the ability
to exchange ideas and concepts.
Our faculty are here to assist and guide. Each have their own academic autonomy. This
diversity brings new and different ideas from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
Get to know these resources. They can help you along the path to gaining competence
in our field.
Will Rogers said “Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.” I believe he was talking about active engagement. One of my favorite Bible verses
is from Romans 8:28 “We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God; those who
are called according to his purpose.” God has given you a purpose. Let’s use your gifts to glorify him.
Be thinking about what career path you want to spend your professional life pursuing.
