About
Eric Phillips has been on the Ouachita faculty for 25 years as a design and technology
professor and has produced over 100 productions at OBU. He was born in Titusville,
Fla. and attended Hendrix College for his B.A. in Theatre and the University of Oklahoma
for his M.F.A. in Drama Design. Phillips enjoys collaborating on the creation of space
for dramatic storytelling, and hopes to empower students to appreciate theatre as
a diverse, inclusive art with hopes that they will find their place in it. When not
in the theatre he enjoys spending time with his wife and sons and building boats,
yurts, geodesic domes and going sailing. He is also interested in graphic storytelling
in the areas of comics and other illustration work.
