collected from several surface waters in the region. Currently, the Ouachita Water
Lab employs one full-time person and two part-time students.
Involvement
In recent years I have been involved in the Conservation Leaders for Tomorrow program,
sponsored by the Wildlife Management Institute. I have completed the Deer Steward
II Certification of the Quality Deer Management Association. I am also heavily involved
in Ouachita’s accreditation program with the Higher Learning Commission and have attended
the last four national meetings of the Higher Learning Commission. In Spring 2016,
I participated in the Gardner Institute, a program that aids colleges and universities
in identifying “gateway” courses – courses that result in a disproportionate number
of D’s, F’s, drops and withdrawals.
