Dr. Carter serves as an Assistant Professor of Communications in the Rogers Department of Communications. Along with his faculty role, Jackson serves as the adviser to Ouachita's digital newspaper, The Online Signal, and as a member of the Title IX Investigation Team.

Biography

Jackson Carter is an Arkansas native, growing up an hour away from Arkadelphia in Hot Springs. After graduating from OBU in 2015, Jackson started work in the advertising industry. Working primarily as a search engine optimization specialist, he discovered a passion for data analysis. For fun, Jackson maintains his connection to the industry by conducting marketing research for clients.

Professionally, Jackson is a member of the Association for Educators in Journalism and Mass Communication, the College Media Association (Both National and State), the American Academy of Advertising and the Broadcast Education Association.
