The Tiger Tennis Academy has a 26-year tradition of training champions. The Tiger Tennis program is one of the best in the nation, and its award-winning and professional coaches strive to bring that same excellence to students at the academy. With specialized coaching to meet any level of ability and age, the Tiger Tennis Academy hopes to instill a desire to become a successful individual on and off the court. Get ready for a week of hard work and fun!

The academy is personally directed by Craig Ward, men’s tennis coach at Ouachita Baptist University. Craig has 24 years of tennis teaching experience and is certified with the highest ratings from the USPTA and USPTR. His honors include College Coach of the Year, Arkansas Tennis Professional of the Year and Arkansas Tennis Hall of Fame. His teams at Ouachita are consistently ranked in the top 10 in the nation. Coach Ward will be on court each day of the academy, working with students to assure their improvement. He will oversee a staff of coaches that has includes top collegiate players and full-time teaching professionals.
Players of all levels are welcomed at Tiger Tennis Academy from age 9 and up. We group students according to ability and age:
All instruction will be held at Ouachita’s award-winning Ward Tennis Center, which includes 4 indoor courts, 6 outdoor courts and a full-service pro shop.
Students will live in one of Ouachita’s suite-style residence halls and eat in the Ouachita Commons, the university’s state-of-the-art dining hall, which offers a variety of well-balanced meal options. Roommates are assigned by age and gender; campers may request a roommate and suitemates on their applications.

In the evenings, campers participate in organized recreational activities such as bowling, go-carts, miniature golf, movies and swimming. The staff joins in all evening activities.
SUPERVISION & SAFETY
Safety is our top priority. Experienced and mature male and female coaches supervise campers throughout the camp and live in the dorms with the students. Campus security officers are on duty 24 hours a day; dorms are locked and checked on a regular basis by officers. Vans are provided at the dorms to transport campers when needed.
HOW TO ENROLL
The cost for an entire week at the academy is $560. This includes all instruction, room, meals, secondary accident insurance and camp T-shirt. A $100 deposit must be received with your enrollment form, with the remainder due upon arrival at camp. Upon receipt of deposit and complete enrollment form, a letter of confirmation and additional camp information will be mailed to you. If you cancel, for any reason, after 14 days prior to the start of your camp session, you may credit your deposit toward a future Tiger Tennis Academy. Drugs, alcohol and all forms of tobacco are strictly forbidden and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for immediate dismissal from camp without a refund.
