The University of Costa Rica is one of the most respected places to learn Spanish in Central America. The program is managed by our partner MLSA under the leadership of Dr. Celestino Ruiz. This program is designed for beginner and advanced students of Spanish.
This is an intensive 4 week Spanish language program offered twice in the summer. Summer I is from May to June and Summer II is from June to July. Students may also take a June/July combo and stay a total of 8 weeks. Each 4 week period yields 6 semester hours of credit.
Students spend from 8:00 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. each morning in class Monday through Friday. The grading system follows the American grading system. All study abroad grades transfer back as letter grades to Ouachita.
