Ouachita has a rich history of welcoming to campus missionary kids from around the world. We also have an outstanding track record of preparing future missionaries for work in the field. In fact, Ouachita is one of the top universities in the world preparing missionaries to serve with the Southern Baptist Convention’s International Mission Board.
There are many ways for new students to get involved on campus, and we strive to provide an extra layer of TLC for MKs as they make the transition to college. Plus, Ouachita’s custom First-Year Experience program is designed to help all students transition. We hope that Ouachita will become your “home away from home” where you’re challenged to grow – academically, spiritually and personally.
Let’s Get Started!
Submit your official test scores from ACT or SAT (writing portion not required). We encourage you to send us your score each time you take the test.
Submit your official high school or home school transcript. Please send it to us at Ouachita Baptist University, 410 Ouachita Street, Arkadelphia, AR, 71998.
Visit campus. We have several types of opportunities for you to visit our campus if you are in the country. See which one works best for you.
Explore the financial aid possibilities. We will be there for you every step of the way as you navigate this road. Our application for admission is also our application for OBU financial aid. You will also find extensive information on state, federal and private aid on our website. As a gesture of Ouachita’s commitment to supporting the work of missionaries, we offer tuition discounts specifically for the children of missionaries who work with the Southern Baptist Convention International Mission Board as well as other evangelical organizations.
Once you are accepted to Ouachita, send in a $150 admission deposit. This deposit is required before we house you in a residence hall or set a fall schedule for you. We recommend you do this by late February of your senior year or as soon after this time as possible. You can pay this deposit through your web portal at info.obu.edu.
