Mission Study Trips

Every other summer (summers of odd years) the Department of Christian Missions conducts a mission study trip to some part of the world. Students attend weekly preparation sessions the semester before departure and receive six hours of course credit in Christian Missions.  If you are Ouachita student and would like to participate, check out the latest information below.

Mission Study Trip 2017--Business and Mission!

The 2017 Mission Study Trip was a huge success! For security reasons we cannot post details but we do wish to express grateful appreciation to all who made it possible.

For the first time in the history of Ouachita Baptist University, the school of Christian Missions and the School of Business cooperated to conduct this trip. The trip was led by professors from both schools (Ray Franklin from the Pruet School of Christian Studies and Jim Files from the Hickingbotham School of Business). The ten students who participated were exposed to entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia using business platforms for the transformation of peoples with the power of the gospel. This trip took place during the 2017 May term.

Future Trips
The next mission study trip will happen in the summer of 2019. Check back later for details.
