As we “dream a larger dream for Ouachita,” it will be essential to inspire and secure greater involvement by alumni and friends in giving their time, lending their talent, and investing their financial resources. To that end, we are extending a learning opportunity entitled, “Working Together to Build a Stronger Culture of Philanthropy” to all faculty and staff on Thursday, August 25, from 8:00-9:00 a.m. at Young Auditorium in Hickingbotham Hall.
This session will be led by a nationally recognized expert, Jim Langley, who visited campus in June and conducted a quantitative and qualitative assessment of Ouachita’s donor base over the summer. Jim’s study and visits to campus are made possible by a generous gift. Jim has worked closely over the years with our President and has assisted many Christian colleges and other significant universities and nonprofits. You can learn more about Jim at http://langleyinnovations.com/
Welcome President and Mrs. Ben Sells and all new faculty/ staff.

The Campus Ministries Fall Retreat happens every year the first weekend after classes. It’s a great way to focus yourself spiritually at the beginning of the semester, to take a brief pause after the busyness of move-in, and to learn about ways to connect with CM during the year.
This year’s retreat–“Your Kingdom Come”–will be focused on the Lord’s Prayer. We’re excited to have Clay Cunningham join us as the main speaker at the 2016 retreat. Worship will be led by the Refuge band. Breakout sessions are led by some great Ouachita faculty and staff!
