My name is Stephen Curry, and I have the privilege of being the admissions counselor for Northwest Arkansas, Oklahoma, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. I graduated from Ouachita in December 2015 with a B.M.E in Music Education, and am proud to call Arkadelphia and Ouachita my home!
Since coming to Ouachita, I have had so many opportunities to not only grow as a person, but pursue my passions. I’ve learned how to serve here, how to be a friend, how to be diligent, work hard, and to be a “difference maker” in everything I put my mind to. I have loved every minute of my Ouachita experience and I’ll carry the memories and relationships that I have made here for a lifetime. I’m a fun-loving people person, and I ultimately decided on coming to Ouachita based on the personal relationships I knew I would make with the faculty and staff. My older brother is a Ouachita grad, and upon hearing from him that even the president of the university will stop you on the sidewalk to hear how your day is going, I knew it was just the place for me.
On any given day, you can find me playing piano, singing, exploring Arkadelphia, taking walks, reading a book, or eating chicken tenders (of which I am a connoisseur.) I could talk forever about all the different reasons why I fell in love with Ouachita; it’s a special place, and I hope you can find the time to stop by Arkadelphia and discover the Ouachita difference for yourself. Don’t hesitate to call or email me with any questions you may have, or better yet, schedule a campus visit! I can’t wait to show you around and help you start your own Ouachita story.
