My years at Ouachita have really shown me what it means to be a friend and also what true friendship is like. College in general can be tough, so the relationships you make are really important. They can strengthen, encourage, and push you all at once.
Ouachita has given me the chance to learn so much about myself. So many things on campus are focused on building relationships among students. The social clubs, campus ministries and the Elrod Center are just a few. And, the focus is not just on relationships for college but also on relationships for life.
The student body is so diverse here. Working closely with other students from another country or just another part of our country has taught me about the differences between people. It has allowed me the
chance to learn so much about other cultures. In my years at Ouachita, I’ve learned how to accept differences and to embrace them.
I know that when I leave Ouachita, I will take with me great memories of amazing people—people who have challenged me, helped me and shaped me.
