Other Service Opportunities
One of the many goals of Tiger Serve Day is to inspire students on the Ouachita campus to a lifestyle of service. Tiger Serve Day is a ministry of the Ben M. Elrod Center and serves partially as an open door to many more service opportunities across the campus.
Campus Ministries
Campus Ministries serves both the Ouachita campus and the Southern Arkansas community through unique, student-led ministries such as Refuge, Noonday, various childrens' ministries, and more. To get involved or learn more, check out Campus Ministries at www.obu.edu/cm. You can also visit their offices at the third floor of the Evans Student Center.
ElderServe
ElderServe is designed to connect Ouachita students with senior adults in the Arkadelphia community. Through ElderServe, students meet with individual seniors on a weekly basis. The student helps to meet the needs of and bring joy to the senior adult, while the senior adult passes on valuable wisdom and life experience to the student. Click here to learn more.
TranServe
Your academic transcript is a direct reflection of your college career to potential employers and graduate and professional schools. Through the TranServe program at Ouachita Baptist University you can permanently record your hours in service to the community on your official OBU transcript. For more information, click here.
Public School Initiatives
The Elrod Center is also involved with several mentorship programs throughout Arkadelphia schools including America Reads-America Counts, Spring Break Enrichment Camps, and more. Click here to learn more.
