Department of Theatre Arts
Ouachita's theatre arts department provides the students with practical experience which is enhanced by classroom instruction. Though rehearsals and performance, students engage in the collaborative process and continue to develop their skills under faculty direction. Students interested in directing find opportunities to direct with faculty support and guidance. Design/tech students develop strong skills in the design/technical process in of each production. The committed faculty help students enhance their talents and prepare for their career goal.
Ouachita's theatre mounts two main stage dramatic productions each academic year, one studio production, and an annual musical theatre production. An evening of one-acts, produced in the Spring semester, affords the senior level theatre art majors an opportunity to direct under the supervision and guidance of our faculty.
