- Information:
- No food or drinks are allowed in the library.
- Copier/Printing Machines:
- All printers and copy machines in the library require students to swipe their card and charges .01¢ for each copy. Each student has $40 on their card for copies.
- To Print:
Press Print on the menu, press ok, then a box will appear asking you for your name and the mailbox your document will appear in. The student then goes to the copy machine, swipes their card to activate the copier, and presses mailboxes. Then the students will then find the mailbox number where they put their document, select their document, and prints.
- Emailing Documents:
If a student wishes to copy a document and then send it to an email address the only copier that has this capability is the copier downstairs to the right in the library. The student will put in the address to which it is being sent, make all the copies of the documents and then press send. You will receive a receipt from the printer after the documents have been sent that says the documents were sent.
- Books on Reserve: If a student desires to get a book that is on reserve they simply need to go to the front desk and ask for that title. The student signs out the book and is able to use the book in the library until it closes. A student cannot take the books on reserve out of the library.
- Study Rooms: Upstairs to the back right of the building, students will find the carols which is 4 rooms made for students who need complete silence and no distractions while studying. Students may also choose to use one of the many group study rooms for studying with friends.
- Video Lab: The video lab is available for class use and some bible studies. The video lab is on the first floor to right, back of the library and down the stairs.
Mabee Fine Arts

The Mabee Fine Arts building is open 24hrs. If locked, call safety at 870-245-4000 to unlock it for you.
- Offices:
Most faculty offices for the School of Fine Arts, Division of Music are located in Mabee along with the office of the dean of the School of Fine Arts. For an appointment with the dean, students can contact or speak with his administrative assistant, Mrs. Huneycutt. Students needing to drop off music, or any other documents for faculty or accompanists can leave these in the mailboxes in the School of Fine Arts office suite on 1st floor Mabee.

Books and scores can be checked out for 21 days. Late fees are .10¢/ day. CD’s can be checked out for 1 day and late fees are $5.00/ day.

Career Services offers many resources for students and graduates in preparing for prospective job opportunities. In the Fall they hold the Major’s Fair giving students an idea of all the majors available at Ouachita. In the Spring they hold the Spring Career Expo. Also during different times of the year are workshops available to students to prepare them job interviews, internships, and other preparations for the future.
Jones Performing Arts Center/Verser Theatre
- The Jones Performing Arts Center consists of a 1,500-seat auditorium, makeup rooms, prop storage and construction rooms, faculty offices, and a ticket office.
- The box office hours are 1PM-5PM, Monday through Friday. The office number is 870-245-5555. For purchasing tickets online go to www.obu.edu/finearts/boxoffice/ and click on buy tickets now.
- For smaller performances Verser Theatre will be the host for these shows. For larger performances such as the opera and concerts JPAC will host these events.

The Academic Success Center purpose is to provide students the resources to succeed in all their academic endeavors while here at Ouachita. The center offers free one-on-one tutoring, small-group tutoring sessions, and walk-in tutoring labs. The center also provides workshops throughout the year to build up useful skills.
