What to Bring

The first challenge of your college experience may be figuring out how to squeeze the essential possetions of two people into one residence hall room. Communicate with your roomate before you arrive on campus especially concerning large items such as microwaves, refrigerators (4.5cf max), and televisions. Other items we suggest you bring include:

Bedding - sheets, mattress pad, pillow,bedspread,Towels, washcloths, soap, Hangers, Iron, ironing board, Pictures, posters, Extensions cords, Trash can, Scissors, Stapler, staples, Pens, pencils, hi-liters, Post-it notes, Super glue, Sticky tack, Computer paper Envelopes, stampsTape, Rubber bands, Paper clips, Umbrella, Vacuum cleaner, Cleaning supplies, Laundry supplies, Quarters for vending machines, Can opener, Plastic ware, plates, cups, bowls, Paper towels, Kleenex, Hole punch, First Aid kit, Computer, (LAN cable if notwireless),Television, cable cord, VCR/DVD player, Radio, stereo or CD player, Alarm clock, Study lamp (nonhalogen), Carpet, Phone with answering machine, Curtain with tension rods (not anchor brackets), and a Dry erase board.

*Arkadelphia does have a Wal-Mart, Freds, Brookshires, Radio-Shack, and a Dollar Store in case you forgot something at home. However, we recomend that you come prepared with as much as you can since these stores will be taxed heavily due to the large influx of students.

Items which we ask that you not bring include:

Pets
Candles (even for decoration)
Incense
Open flame / open coil appliances
Halogen lamps
Weapons*
