YEAR-END RETREAT
In the spring of each year the students who have completed the servant-leadership course
gather at Camp Winnamocka (just outside Arkadelphia) for a weekend of self-discovery, teambuilding
and motivation. The purpose of the retreat is help students discover specific areas
where they can apply the principles of servant-leadership to their daily lives.

SERVANT-LEADERSHIP FOCUS IN CHAPEL
The Elrod Center Servant-Leadership Project is
featured in a chapel at OBU each spring. Students who have completed or are enrolled in
the servant-leadership course participate in the chapel (prayer, scripture reading,
singing, etc.). The students also have the opportunity to informally interact with
the speaker at a luncheon after chapel.
LEADERSHIP & LATTEE
Each semester the instructor (Steve Phillips)
attempts to meet informally with every student in the program (still on campus) to discuss
life goals, vocational plans and current activities. The focus of these meetings is
on how the idea of servant-leadership might be uniquely applied in each student's life.
These informal meeting may take the form of coffee breaks at Starbucks on campus, a
meal at the Phillips' or a hiking trip.
