This is one of the better books I've read on leadership.
It's short, well-written, organized, and practical. Stanley gives just
enough examples to get his point across. One thing I appreciated is that
he doesn't come across as pompous or dogmatic (like a few too many I've read
lately). You may be taken back by his suggestion that pastors focus more
on preparing their sermons than other things, but I think it's important to
remember he's pastor of a church of 12,000. I'm sure it would different in
a typical church of 250 or so. I believe the book is well worth the time
it takes to read it.
