Many teams that participate in RecSports have played together for several years, passing the team from one generation to another.  Others may exist only one season of play. In all cases, each of these teams started somewhere.

Before each season begins, (normally the Wednesday before games start) a meeting for
all team captains is held.  All teams are required to have a representative in attendance for the appropriate sport (the meeting is well advertised).  The rules, season, and any other questions are all addressed during this brief meeting.  Team rosters are also due at this time.

To start a new team, get some friends together, fill out the roster, and make sure your captain is at the meeting.  If you want to play on a team but don’t know anyone who is on a team, talk with friends on your hall, your RA, or your hall director for suggestions.  Also, you can always contact the RecSports staff at recsports@obu.edu.
