Recreational Sports and Intramural Athletics Purpose Statement and Waiver

Ouachita Baptist University offers a full selection of recreational sports activities
for the Ouachita community and all students are urged to participate.  All participants must be current students or Ouachita employees.  All activities are supervised by the Director of Recreational Sports who reports to the Vice President for Student Services.  Flag Football, Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, and Softball are all offered for males, females and some coed teams.  Other competitions include ping pong tournaments, ultimate Frisbee, disc
golf, and Quidditch.

Because of the inherent potential of physical injury in intramural sports, the participant must assume the risk of such activities and expressly waive all claims against Ouachita Baptist University which they or their estate has or may have for injury, damages, or death arising from such activities.  Each participant must a clean bill of health as far as it concerns their participation in the pertaining activities.
