  Ouachita Keyboard Studies

The keyboard studies area offers courses in performance, pedagogy, and literature and provides ensemble and accompanying experiences. Private instruction in piano, organ, and harpsichord are offered, and private and class instruction in piano is provided for students majoring in performance areas other than keyboard.

Degrees offered with a major concentration in piano or organ studies include:

  • Bachelor of Music in Performance, Chruch Music, or Theory/Composition
  • Bachelor of Music Education in Choral Music
  • Bachelor of Arts with a major in music


Recent concerts at Ouachita have featured national and international competition winners, Grammy nominated duo piano teams, and world renowned jazz pianists.

Ouachita's Mabee Fine Arts Center includes an outstanding collection of keyboard instruments:



Pianos in the W. Francis McBeth Recital Hall include a 9'4" Fazioli concert grand piano and a 9' Steinway concert grand piano.
