"Voices of the Red River Region" Oral History Project

As a significant research and learning tool, the Pete Parks Center for Regional Studies conducts a continuing oral history project called "Voices of the Red River Region". Ouachita students conduct the majority of the interviews within this program. Its purpose is to provide a service to special groups or individuals and as a way to build an important research resource within Ouachita's Riley-Hickingbotham Library. This project is led and organized by a Ouachita professor and these individuals provide instruction in the methodology and interpersonal skills necessary for successful oral history sessions.
