Folkways Seminar

        Each summer, the Pete Parks Center for the Regional Studies conducts a course that reveals various aspects of folklife, history, religion, literature and music in south Arkansas, north Louisiana, east Texas, or southeast Oklahoma. This course may concentrate on subjects such as, the Red River Region, Hot Springs and the Upland South, the Urban Upland South, Folklife in Louisiana and East Texas and other areas. Students travel to important sites in these regions to study. Six credit hours may be earned for this course.
