Facilities Management Construction
Phase 2 of the new entry drive will cross 8th Street and continue around the ridge behind Sturgis and the new residential village. As a result the existing Maintenance (soon to be renamed Facilities Management) Complex must be relocated. A new complex is planned in the area near the football and soccer facilities.
August 1: So far, all of the dirt being removed from the entrance has been needed to raise this building site. The site has been raised to the proper level now but there is still some work to do around the perimeter.
July 18: The dirt being cut out of the entrance site is being reused for the Facilities Management site. This area is in the 100-year flood plan and must be raised four feet. Fortunately, we are removing enough dirt from the entrance to accomplish this task. Our architects are currently working on design of the facility and hope to have it complete soon.
