Ouachita Baptist University’s Office of Admissions will offer two Tiger Days during the month of March: an afternoon session March 11 and a morning session March 15. Both will give prospective students and their parents the opportunity to preview a typical day on OBU’s campus.
“It is an opportunity to see a day in the life of an OBU student – to attend class, meet with a dean and tour campus,” said Lori Motl, OBU’s director of admissions counseling. “I think just being here on campus during a normal class day is key; they have the chance to get the pulse of campus in full swing.”
The opening program for Tiger Day on March 11 will begin at 12:30 p.m. in Young Auditorium in Hickingbotham Hall. At 1 p.m., visiting students will have the opportunity to attend classes, while parents will be invited to a question-and-answer session at the Parents Panel in Young Auditorium. At 2 p.m. there will be a session with the academic deans, followed by a tour of campus at 2:30 p.m. The closing session will convene at 3:15 p.m. and an optional tour of residential halls will follow.
The morning session on March 15 will use a similar schedule. Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the lobby of Hickingbothom Hall, followed by the opening program in Young Auditorium at 9 a.m. and the academic deans session at 9:30 a.m. At 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. visiting students will be invited to tour campus and attend classes. Meanwhile, parents may also tour campus and attend the Parents Panel at 11 a.m. in Young Auditorium. Lunch will be provided at 12 noon in Walker Conference Center, followed by the tour of residential halls at 1 p.m.
