Students in Mass Communications study a broad range of contemporary media topics and develop job-related skills. The curriculum includes a look at the history of mass media and current issues in the field, as well as the cultivation of skills leading to careers in media. Professional opportunities include those in newspapers, magazines, advertising, public relations, radio, television, online media and related fields. Convergence is key in our ever-changing world of technology. Our curriculum reflects the need for students to be prepared with a variety of media skills and have an understanding of how these various skills inter-relate.
