inventory list

Albert Crow was born on March 17, 1868, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He was the eldest son of Austin M. Crow and Abigail Mendenhall Crow. His involvement within the Arkadelphia community included the founding of the Arkadelphia Telephone Company with his brother-in-law William Gerig in 1891. This partnership remained intact until his death. He was also the secretary of the Arkadelphia Novelty Company as well as co-owner of the Crow Brothers Drug Store. He was furthermore involved with the management of the Poplar Bluff Telephone Company in Missouri. By 1900, he owned an insurance and real estate company with his father and then became Tax Assessor for Clark County. In 1902, he was an advertising agent for the St. Louis, Iron Mountain, & Southern and Little Rock & Fort Smith Railways. He died on August 7, 1903 of typhoid fever at the age of thirty-five.

This collection is primarily correspondence associated with his business life. It does, however, include some personal letters from friends and family.
