This course will present a study of Spanish and English phonetic and phonological features. Students will analyze prominent characteristics of the pronunciation of Hispanic dialects – Peninsular Spanish, the Spanish of the Americas, and the three major Spanish-speaking groups in the United States (Chicano, Cuban, and Puerto Rican).
