MAJOR:  KINESIOLOGY AND LEISURE STUDIES

EMPHASIS:  RECREATION

2013-2014

A Major in Kinesiology and Leisure Studies with an emphasis in Recreation completion of the University Core (55 hours) and a set of courses offered by the Department of Kinesiology and Leisure Studies (37 hours).  A student selecting the Recreation emphasis will be required to also select a minor or another major of their choosing.  Popular minors include Dietetics, Business Administration, Sociology and Communication.  Students selecting this emphasis are interested in pursuing a vocation in Parks and Recreation, Outdoor Recreation, National Park Service, Game and Fish, working with the disabled, and/or recreation camps.  If you love the outdoors this is the emphasis for you.
