DEGREEBACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE

MAJOR:  KINESIOLOGY AND LEISURE STUDIES

EMPHASIS:  FITNESS

2013-14

A Major in Kinesiology and Leisure Studies with an emphasis in Fitness requires the completion of the University Core (55 hours) and a set of courses offered by the Department of Kinesiology and Leisure Studies (39 hours). A student selecting the Fitness emphasis will be required to also select a minor or another major of their choosing.  Popular minors include Dietetics, Business Administration, Sociology and Communication.   Students selecting this emphasis are interested in pursuing a vocation in Personal Training, Strength and Conditioning, Corporate Fitness and vocations dealing with physical fitness.  If you love working with individuals to improve their “quality of life” then this is the emphasis for you.
