The Program:
The University of Orleans is a recent addition to the Ouachita Study Abroad Program. Located in France's famous Chateaux country, this university has been one of Europe's foremost centres of learning since the middle Ages. The city of Orleans is a regional capital with a population of 220,000, and its mild climate attracts many visitors year round. Today the university accomodates 12,000 students, and classes can be taken in any of the three colleges - the School of Law and Business, Liberal Arts, and Science, the Institute of Technology, and the School of Engineering.

The Setting:


Financial Aid:
All outside financial aid that a student is currently utilizing may be applied toward the cost
of the semester study program. Ouachita allows a student to use 50% of Ouachita issued scholarships (with the exception of work-study aid).
Requirements:
- Second semester freshman classification at the time of selection
- A minimum of a 2.5 GPA
- Good standing with the University
- Written approval from the Dean of the school of the student's major

The level you will be on will be decided after a day of tests and according to the results you obtain. You may also attend other courses on the campus provided this fits with your timetable at L'Institut de français. But, you must attend the whole course at l'institut de français in order to obtain credits.
