Since 1973 an exchange program with Seinan Gakuin University in Fukuoka City, Japan, has been offered. During these years, students have experienced the rich and exciting dimensions of Japanese culture. It is not unusual for students who have participated in this program to return to Japan after graduation to live, work, or continue their studies.
Courses other than language courses are offered in English for the international students participating in this program.
This two-semester program offers students the ability to earn up to 36 hours of course credit. Many students receive enough hours of credit to consider fulfilling the requirements of the international studies minor. Language learning is complemented by courses in intercultural studies, Japanese history and other such broadening courses. Summer courses explained here.
