The story of a fisherman and a teacher was never told like this! Experience the friendship, love, betrayal, passion and forgiveness in the all new musical "The Rock and the Rabbi." Contemporary music sets the stage as Simon, a simple fisherman, draws audiences of all ages into his story. See how he becomes Peter the “Rock” and begins his journey with the “Rabbi” (Jesus) from the Sea of Galilee, to the agony of the Cross, to the Miracle of the Ages. comes to the Jones Performing Arts Center on Monday, March 26, 2007 for only one performance.

The script was written by Gary Richardson, with music and lyrics by Danny Hamilton. "The Rock and the Rabbi" debuted at Clearwater, Florida’s Ruth Eckerd Hall in 1998. Then with outpouring support from the community, in November 2002 "The Rock and the Rabbi" made the Plaza Theatre in Orlando, FL home for nearly three years. Since 2004, the national tour has been executively produced by Larry and Kay Payton.
