Overview

Participants in the Honors Program take two Honors Seminars over the course of their time at Ouachita. These may be taken any semester students are in the program, though enrollment is generally limited to 15 students per seminar, and encouraged more for sophomores through seniors. Topics are interdisciplinary and the seminars are led by at least two OBU faculty members. Seminars normally meet once per week and students receive one credit hour for each seminar. As with the assessment of directed studies and honors thesis hours, seminars are graded by assigning each student either an S for B or better work or a U for C or worse.
