Spring
Break Enrichment Camp

Thanks to a grant from a
local foundation, Ouachita's Elrod Center has been able to provide
spring break enrichment camps for the children of Arkadelphia.
The camp is designed to provide care for children who would
otherwise be left unsupervised during the break. In addition,
the children are taught good character qualities through enriching
activities. College students are responsible for leading the
camp. The Elrod Center works closely with Arkadelphia Public
Schools to plan and carry out the three days of activities.
The camp is held from
8:00am to 2:30pm each day. In the evenings, the college
student volunteers get together for dinner and fellowship (bowling,
putt-putt, etc.).
The college students are
housed in the dorms and are provided free room, meals, and
extracurricular activities.
Arkadelphia Public
Schools and the Elrod Center will once again host a spring break
enrichment camp on March 22-24, 2004. If you would like to be
a part of the spring break team, you may fill out and submit an application
on line or pick up an application from the Elrod Center.
