 YouthServe Arkansas

YouthServe Arkansas is a program that enables Ouachita students to travel to the churches of Arkansas and train youth groups to serve their communities through “serve days.” A team of four Ouachita students helps junior high and high school students to put their faith into action.

After arriving on a Wednesday, the Ouachita YouthServe team works with church leaders to set up a serve day for the following Saturday. The youth group and Ouachita student leaders then report back to the church congregation on the experience. The Ouachita team leaves the church youth group with the challenge of hosting a special “serve day” on the dates that Ouachita hosts its own serve day in the fall and spring of each year.

This is a ministry to get youth to stop watching ministry, and instead, get them out in the community doing ministry.
