Being a part of TSD is phenomenal. Being part of the TSD Leadership Team is even better. Many of the people that we’re helping are so happy to meet us and to know that we’re going to help them. To see that joy and to know what good our student body can do makes all the long hours of preparation even more worthwhile.
TSD always offers me an opportunity to serve alongside students to make a difference in the community. In addition to helping people, working with students outside of class reinforces many of the things we are learning in class. It’s service learning at its best.
I chose to do TSD because I was excited about not only the opportunity to get involved in a Ouachita event, but also an event that would affect the city of Arkadelphia.
What I love about TSD is the fact that we get to make an impact in the community both practically and relationally. I got to visit with a man who has lived in Arkadelphia for over 70 years. We talked about life, hearing lots of wisdom about college life, post-college life and my walk with Christ.
