Five things that I love about the school:
1. That I have the opportunity to do what I am called to do
2. The emphasis on teaching
3. The close relationships formed by students
4. The beautiful campus and first-rate facilities
5. The small class sizes and advising opportunities that allow faculty to interact one-on-one with students

Campus Involvement
I served as chair of the Awards and Events Committee, which coordinates the Birkett Williams Lecture Series and works with the various schools on campus in awarding student scholarships. I also served on the Presidential Inauguration Committee and as secretary/treasurer of Ouachita’s chapter of the American Association of University Professors.

My Ouachita teaching experience:
Ouachita prepares the student for life—not just a career. Ouachita does both of these very well by integrating faith and learning in the overall college experience. The academic programs, service opportunities and Christian environment produce well-rounded graduates who are prepared to enter a career and live a life of service to God, their families and their communities.

I enjoy the students at Ouachita. They are committed to their education and to the Ouachita experience. It is inspiring to me to be involved in preparing students for their future and teaching the next generation of Christian business leaders.

Ouachita provides a first-class liberal arts education in a Christian environment. Our faculty’s dedication to educating the next generation of Christian leaders and the bond between students work together to create an atmosphere that furthers two complementary goals: (1) providing the best preparation for students’ in their future professions and (2) giving them a foundation upon which to build their personal lives.

I encourage parents to come with their student to the campus to see for themselves the educational opportunity, the commitment of faculty, and the Christian atmosphere.
