Ouachita Baptist University’s Pruet School of Christian Studies, in cooperation with OBU Campus Ministries, is facilitating a trip to the Urbana 2012 Student Missions Conference.
For years the Urbana Conferences have inspired students to consider the challenge of international missions. If you have yet to experience it, see what is all about at https://urbana.org/.
Ten reservations have been made at a discount rate for OBU students at this conference. The first ten OBU students who place a $100 deposit with our Business Office (tell them it is for Urbana 12) will secure one of these reservations for themselves. Deposits must be in the Business Office by October 30th.
These spots include rooms in a hotel near the conference center. Students will be sleeping 3-4 to a room. Cost for this conference will be about $600 per student. However, each of the ten students who register with us will automatically receive a $100 scholarship from OBU.
Campus Ministries is offering 5 additional scholarships of $100 per person to attend Urbana ’12. To apply for a scholarship, email James Taylor at taylorja@obu.edu by October 26th.
Travel costs are not included in this budget. We are asking students to make their own travel arrangements, although we may be able to coordinate some carpools from the OBU campus. There will be daily parking fees at he hotel so it is best to car pool.
