Now in his ninth year of full time teaching at Ouachita; 17 years pastoral experience; 5 years youth ministry experience; also involved in an outdoor Christian camping ministry (Outdoor Discipleship Ministries)

Current Research
Will be conducting biblical backgrounds research in the Holy Land during the spring of 2011 while on sabbatical. One goal of the project is to develop an experiential Holy Land study tour for college students and young adults. Activities of the tour may include hiking the Jesus Trail, snorkling over the port ruins of Caesarea, rafting the Jordan River, camping in the Judean Wilderness, etc.

Canoeing, Backpacking, Fly Fishing, Mountain Biking, Watching the Dallas Cowboys & the Texas Rangers, Watching Sporting Events of Students and Family

Married to Mona (Mona with Scott), with three children: Josh (age 22) and currently a senior at Ouachita, Lauren (age 20) and currently a sophomore at Ouachita, and Kaitlyn (age 15) and currently a sophomore at Sparkman High School (Jackson Kids)
