General Information

The student who plans to complete the professional course at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences or at the Baptist Medical Center-Little Rock and receive a Medical Technology degree from Ouachita should spend six semesters and one summer term at Ouachita and complete the hours specified below. The professional curriculum at UAMS is comprised of four semesters in a 17-month period with a January starting date. The professional curriculum at the Baptist Medical Center-Little Rock is a 12-month program with a July starting date.  The Ouachita degree is awarded upon completion of the professional medical technology program. The student who wishes to complete a professional course at any other university or hospital and receive a Medical Technology degree from Ouachita can work out a comparable program in consultation with the Chair of Natural Science at Ouachita.

Second Year's Total = 31 hrs

Summer

Summer total = 9 hrs

Third Year

Third Year's Total = 33 hrs
