Listen to a panel of Honors students who traveled across the pond to Ireland, Scotland, and Great Britain last summer with the Honors Program. The students will share their stories, favorite moments, and pictures from the ten day trip inspired by three Honors Seminars: Virtue and Vice, The Tudors, and Vampires in the 21st Century. Hear about the beauty of Edinburgh, the ghost tours in Whitby, the city life of London and more!
On Monday, we will put Mentos in different carbonated drinks to observe the height of the geiser (this will be done in the grass so as not to create a big mess in the amphitheater. On Tuesday, we will be placing candy in water to observe the separation of the colors. On Wednesday, we are trying to get a cotton candy machine. On Thursday, we will be placing Pop Rocks inside a balloon and placing the balloon with the Pop Rocks on the top of a coke bottle. As the Pop Rocks fall into the coke, the balloon is inflated. Finally, on Friday, we will dip Peeps in liquid nitrogen and crushing them. Also, we will be dipping rice crispy treats in liquid nitrogen so that when you breath through it, it creates “dragon’s breath”.
