Ouachita Baptist University opened Heflin Tennis Center in February of 1991. The facility consists of four indoor courts, six outdoor courts, and a full service pro shop. Heflin Tennis Center was selected as Tennis Facility of the Year by the Arkansas Tennis Association in 1992 and USTA Tennis Facility of the Year in 1995.

The facility is also home to the Ouachita Baptist University collegiate tennis teams. The women's tennis team has received national recognition by placing among the nation's best collegiate tennis programs.

There are numerous programs in which local tennis players may participate. You can play in tennis leagues throughout the week. Private and group tennis lessons are also available. For the competitive player there are teams from Arkadelphia that compete in the USTA Adult League Program against teams from other towns in Arkansas. Junior tennis players may wish to compete in any of our USTA sanctioned tournaments. These are available to all persons whether beginner or advanced, male or female, young or old.

Summertime finds Heflin Tennis Center busy with The Tiger Tennis Academy. Adult and Junior tennis players from Arkansas and across the South spend and entire week improving their tennis and having fun.

The facility is also home to the Ouachita Baptist University collegiate tennis teams. The men's team has received national recognition by consistently placing among the nation's best collegiate tennis programs.

Outdoor courts are free of charge.

The purpose of Heflin Tennis Center is to promote tennis in a fun and wholesome environment. It is open to the public with no dues or membership fees charged. If needed we will provide racquets and balls at no charge.
