Betsy
Danner has been the women's tennis coach at Ouachita Baptist University
since 1993. She holds a bachelor of science in education degree (1973)
from OBU and a master of science in education diploma (1978) from Henderson
State University. Danner is a 4.0 level USTA League tennis player. Her
players excell in both the classroom and on the courts winning both athletic
and academic honors. In addition to her responsibilities with her varsity
women's tennis team, Danner also has taught private lessons for nearly
two decades. In addition to her coaching duties, Danner serves as an adjunct
instructor in the university's health, physical education and recreation
department. She has taught at both the high school and college levels,
in the sports of tennis, swimming, and volleyball. She is active in her
church in Arkadelphia. Her hobbies include co-ed softball, tennis and
weight training.
