ARKADELPHIA- Ouachita Baptist University guard Jamie Scheppmann has won her third Lone Star Conference North Division Player-of-the-Week award after leading the Lady Tigers to home victories over the University of Central Oklahoma Lady Bronchos and the Northeastern State (OK) University Lady Reds. Scheppmann, a 5-10 senior from Cove (Van-Cove), averaged 31 points and 7.5 rebounds in the two games. She scored a career-best 32 points in OBUs 65-48 victory over UCO. She leads the LSC in scoring, averaging 22.0 points a game. The Louisiana Tech transfer has 116 field goals, including 23 three-pointers and 119 free throws for 374 points. Scheppmann is 10th in league steals with 56 for a 3.41 game average. She is third in three throw percentage hitting 119 of 136 from the line for a .875 percentage. Scheppmann, a psychology major, was voted the LSC Pre-Season Player-of-the-Year. She and her teammates are currently tied with East Central (OK) University for the division lead both with records of 4-2. |
