The OBU Tiger Football Camp will provide the opportunity to learn championship football in a championship atmosphere from a staff of successuful college and high school coaches. You will see and learn techniques of leadership, self discipline, and the importance of physical and mental development.

Instructional Objectives
Fundamental skills in the areas of quarterbacking, receiving, running, and line play will be stressed in offensive drills.

Defensive drills will include defensive line play, linebacker play, and secondary skills. Skills and techniques in the areas of kicking and punting will be taught by coaches who have excelled in this area.

Weight training tips and instruction will be taught and supervised, along with emphasis on flexibility exercises to increase quickness and decrease chance of injury.


Camp Staff

Director: Jay Derby, Recruiting Coordinator, Defensive Line, Ouachita Baptist University

Our football staff at Ouachita, along with NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, junior college, and high school coaches, will provide the instruction during the camp. Our objective is to give the best individual and team instruction to the campers.

Housing
All campers will stay in Ouachita's Daniel Hall. Twenty-four hour supervision by the camp staff
will be provided.


Meals
All meals will be eaten in OBU's newly-constructed cafeteria, the Ouachita Commons.


Registration
All campers should report to Daniel Hall on Ouachita's campus between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2001.


Cost
The expense for each camper is $175. This fee includes room, board, *insurance, camp, team picture, T-shirt, and a full week of football instruction. A deposit of $50 is required with all applications.

What To Bring
•Football Helmet, Shoulder Pads and Jersey
The Arkansas Activities Association recently passed legislation that players attending football camps in the state can wear shoulder pads in addition to the helments that they already are permitted to wear. IT SHOULD BE UNDERSTOOD THAT THIS EQUIPMENT IS BEING WORN STRICTLY FOR PROTECTION IN TEACHING TECHNIQUES.
•Bed linens for single bed and pillow (sleeping bag if desired)
•Toilet articles
•Bath towels
•Tennis shoes and football shoes
•T-shirts, gym shirts, socks
•Swim trunks
•Spending money
Note: It is recommended not to bring valuables to camp.
