The Tiger Network Leadership Award Program is a special project led by Ouachita Alumni. The program is designed to bring student leaders together and build upon the leadership skills exhibited in the high school years. As part of this freshman leadership program, participants will have unique exposure and networking opportunities with university alumni and supporters through receptions, seminars and activities. Award recipients are expected to take part in these opportunities as well as other university activities.
To be considered for the award, applicants must meet Ouachita’s minimum requirements for unconditional admission: 2.5/4.0 high school GPA and scores of ACT 20/SAT 950. The number of awards presented each year varies based on funds available. Awards are funded in part by the Ouachita license plate program. All applicants must be nominated by a Ouachita graduate or former student. Applicants can submit up to two alumni recommendations; alumni/former students can submit recommendations for up to four applicants. An alumnus cannot recommend an immediate family member (child or sibling).
Applications will be available here by November 1.
Applications for students entering Ouachita in the fall of 2015 are due by 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2015. The selection committee will review applications and recipients will be notified in February. Applying for this award does not substitute for the regular scholarship application process.
