It is my honor and privilege to serve as director of admissions counseling at Ouachita. I grew up in McKinney, Texas, and heard about Ouachita from my youth minister at church. I knew early on that this was where God was leading me.
Once I graduated in 1993, I headed back to Texas. I never dreamed I would end up back on campus! My husband, Casey, dreamed of being a history professor. Once we completed the journey of him earning his Ph.D., God led us back here. We’ve been here for seven years now and hope to spend our careers here. I have been on staff for the last four of those years, and I absolutely love getting to show high school students what is so special about OBU.
What makes OBU different? One of the biggest differences is the residential community with 95% of students living in campus housing. It sets students up for amazing relationships. They truly care about each other. This is a campus that feels like home … like family.
Outside of my time here on campus, I love photography and cooking. I love spending time with my kiddos (Ryan, 13, Sydney, 11, and Josh, 9) and extended family. We are pretty hard-core Tiger fans, so we spend a lot of time at the OBU sporting events.
