I think Ouachita is amazing because: of how deeply it impacts its students’ lives. I came to OBU as a skeptical freshman, not really sure if I had made a good decision. However, after only a few months I couldn’t have imagined going anywhere else. I am extremely prepared academically – often finding myself surprised to know more about a topic than my friends in master level programs. I have made the closest friends I’ve ever had here. In fact, I don’t know if I fully understood the word “community” until coming here. And if that were not enough, I found my wife here.
Hobbies/Interests: Photography (I’m a Canon man), Cooking (what’s more manly than flames, meat, and a full stomach), Reading (mostly dead theologians but some living-folk creep in from time to time), and Technology (Linux anyone?). I also love sports having played (Football and Wrestling) in high school. I have been known to like all types of music (although I have never acquired a taste for Polka music).
Family: My parents are originally from Missouri but have lived in Arkansas and Texas for the majority of their married life. They currently reside in DFW. I also have a brother and sister who live and work in Houston. In 2012 I had the privilege of marrying my best friend Erin – a native Dallas resident. She and I currently live in Arkadelphia.
